This is not my first blog… I don’t even think this is my second… Honestly, I think I’m at my fifth blog. YIKES!
Korbin, why should I follow a blog that you’re probably not going to finish? Well, because I’ve let it be known. Seriously, there might be even a few of you right now who have come over to take a peek at what Korbin is doing based off my podcast! If you don’t know about that, check it out here! But, that’s not even the only place where I’m declaring this new endeavor. This is going up on Instagram and Facebook as well!
It’s going up everywhere!
Accountability is key, but there’s something even different about this approach. There’s a reason for this blog. There’s a purpose behind it. I’m a writer, if you’re not aware. I write fantasy. I write science fiction, horror, and even some contemporary fiction as well. I write a whole lot. I’ve been writing since I was a teenager, looking to flee the mundane existence of a rural community just too far for anything to do. Writing has been my sanctuary for most of my life. I’m not exactly professional, but I’m experienced enough to know what I’m talking about.
I took up the gauntlet of Freelance writer and wrote over 200 manuscripts for clients, ranging from nonfiction to anything in the fiction genre. I spent years making people thousands of dollars on the work and creativity that I gave them for a few hundred dollars. I was the definition of a sucker!
But, I’m not exactly sure how they did it! How did they make so much money off of books? More so, how can I do it better?! I work for a company that helps entrepreneurs every day build out million dollar online businesses. So, I sit in the shadows and rub shoulders with some of the most brilliant entrepreneurs and marketing gurus on the planet and I’ve been wasting my time doing nothing with it.
This blog, it’s the marriage of the two things I have in my life that I am insanely interested in: writing and entrepreneurship. How can I blend the two and bring about a new generation in publishing? I see a revolution on the horizon and with the tools at my disposal, I’m looking to help show self-publishing authors that they’re not just creatives, but they’re entrepreneurs!
So, let’s take a look at what we can do to change the publishing world and share great stories along the way! It’s not going to be pretty! I’m going to share my successes and my failures with you. If you’re a writer, I’m going to save you struggles and woes along the way and I’ll give you fresh, new insight into how YOU can start making progress toward being an author who makes enough money to help change their life!
